Ewha Womans University Cancer Center for Women was opened in March 2009 by medical teams from Ewha Womans University, the nation’s only women’s university with college of medicine, to specially treat women’s cancer by emphasizing their strength in research and treatment area. The Cancer Center for Women has received great feedback on therapy of women’s cancer due to its easy and quick medical treatment such as surgery within a week after cancer diagnosis and one-stop service for diagnosis and treatment in one place.

The Cancer Center for Women is the first university hospital dedicated solely for women and it has differentiated medical facilities such as lady’s ward for women with cancer. This cancer center equipped ‘128-channel PET-CT (Positron Emission Tomography’, the advanced imaging diagnostic equipment, as the second in Asia and as well as Da Vinci Robot, Breast Gamma Scan, Flexible Hysteroscopy, and Dual Flash 128-channel CT (Computed Tomography) to increase the accuracy of cancer diagnosis and treatment. This is the driving force of great trust from the patients and caregivers.

The Cancer Center for Women, which is leading the treatment of women’s cancer in the nation, is affiliated with Ewha Womans University Mok-dong Hospital, the stomach and colon center/ stomach cancer and colon cancer center, to widen the specialized areas and to maximize the synergy effect.
