The Breast Care Center of Korea University Anam Hospital carries out accurate and in depth screening like mammography, breast ultrasonography, and MRI and then performs breast conserving surgery and skin preservation mastectomy by minimal Incision. The breast center established in 2008.04.17 and has been focusing on the ‘Happiness of the patient” rather than ‘medicine’ for the success of treatment for breast cancer. .
The ambitious projects that Bae Jeong Won, the head of center, and Yi Eun Suk prepared are establishing ‘Support Team for Cancer Patients’ and ‘Interdisciplinary System’ The experts from the various fields will help recovering patients by providing mental psychology to shock patients, rehabilitation to patients having movement disorder of their arms after surgery, and pharmacy and nutrition to patients suffering from cancer complications. After medical treatment, coordinators will help patients to change their lifestyle especially for the exercise and obesity management. 
The breast center has been received a good reputation of enhancing patient convenience by equipping cutting-edge Mammography, two of breast ultrasonic devices, and mammotome for surgery, and by establishing a system for patients who can create the schedule for screening, cure, and surgery within the center. In addition, this center performs overall prevention, surgery, treatment, hormone therapy, and rehabilitation for breast cancer as well as performing patient education. We are also leading staying in touch activities for patients encouraging each other and leading sharing activities for alienated neighbors. ‘Go Yu Hoe’(Breast Cancer Hwanwoohoe) is the one for doing this.
