Leading the fields of the 'Minimum Cutting' and the medical operation for the cataract operation for correcting farsightedness

Seran Ophthalmology Clinic was established in December 26, 2000 as a clinic specialized in the field of cataract and LASIK. Director Seungjeong Yim and Director Younggi Lee, who are the central members of the clinic, used to be the professors working at Severance Hospital of Yonsei University in Sinchon for ten years.
Because of the popularity of the university hospital, Seran Ophthalmology Clinic successfully became the clinic specialized in the fields of the medical operation for cataract as well as the eyesight correction operation in the first year. Also, through the continuous research activity based on the development of the new and safe operation technique for eyes, the clinic has won four highest awards at USA Ophthalmology Association and European Ophthalmology Association. In 2006, it was chosen as the top Ophthalmology clinic in the country by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, regarding the medical operation for cataract.

In 1993, the clinic won the highest award at Cataract Reflective Operation Society in USA for the first time in Korea. Also, it won the highest award in 1995, and the award of excellence in 1997. Furthermore, in 2000, it won the highest award at European Cataract Reflective Operation Society for the first time in Korea. The clinic is trying its best for the research related to the development in the field of the medical operation for eyes.

Also, in 2009, Director Seungjeong Yim was chosen as one of the top hundred skilled physicians in Korea by the Korean branch of Forbes which is a famous economic magazine in the world, increasing the level of popularity.

Seran Ophthalmology Clinic has introduced the 'Wavefront IR Operation' and the 'Minimum Cutting Cataract Operation' as well as the 'Cataract Operation for Correcting Farsightedness' in Korea and greatly improved the level of satisfaction for the patients. Also, the clinic is equipped with such expensive high-tech operation tools as the air-shower system, the CT camera for eyes, the ceiling-type microscope, the high-tech inspection tools, the Visix S4 IR, and the Alcon Infinite.
