Samsung Woman’s Hospital, which was opened in 2000 with the high ambition of the hospital full of trust, love, welfare service, and missionary work, is one of the representative hospitals leading Korean childbirth culture.
 It structured the mother-and-child room and Shalomer system, withdrawing from abortion surgery. It also has the most excellent success of natural childbirth, breastfeeding, and mother-and-child room in the country. It established Shalomer system and Free Labor Pain Room for the first time in the country, which made many outside hospitals take filed trips to see the hospital.

Free Labor Pain Room is purposed to help the expectant mothers feel and move free, listening to the music rather than just wait for the delivery. Shalomer system locates the maternity nursing specialist to each expectant mother and offers various delivery related knowledge and help. It is also making a good contribution to get rid of vague fear for childbirth by satisfying the patient’s right to know.

For the successful breastfeeding, every step through pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum care should be well prepared. Particularly, it is important to locate the breastfeeding specialist at every step.

Samsung Woman’s Hospital is offering the systematic breastfeeding class in the Shalomer culture center during pregnancy and administering the staff’s breastfeeding education after childbirth. The staff in charge of breastfeeding is located in the postpartum care center. Particulary, Samsung Woman’s Hospital is giving every support to the staff to get the education for international breastfeeding specialists. About 10 international breastfeeding specialists are located in the medical office, newborn baby room, postpartum care center, etc.
 Sterility Clinic, which is composed of 10 medical staffs including 3 sterility specialists, has made 489 successful pregnancies after its opening. Endoscopy Clinic has operated 2187 cases successfully with the endoscope which is good for the quick recovery and does not need laparotomy
