Yeosu Baek Hospital

Yeosu Baek Hospital opened adopting the first hospital specializing in orthopedic surgery in the district in 2005. In 2006, its treatment area got more subdivided into joint diseases. And in 2007, it built the treatment system as a hospital specialized in shoulder diseases by specializing in the shoulder department. In 2008, it was chosen as a model hospital specialized in shoulder disease by Ministry for health, welfare and family affairs, which made the hospital recognized by the country for joint diseases.

The director of the hospital added stability to its organization with passionate leadership and reasonable way of management, and it is actively reacting to changes of medical industry environments. While sharing its vision with the members of the hospital by predicting changes of the future beforehand, he is making the hospital grow.

Since the opening of the hospital, it has continued to have monthly discussion meetings and quarterly seminars to strengthen members' medical knowledge. Teamed up with doctors and employees of the hospital, they benchmark advanced medical organizations and enterprises at home and abroad. This can be described as 'management by watching and learning'. Despite of short history of the hospital, it had honor of being designated as 'Exemplary hospital specializing in diseases related to the joint' by Ministry of Health, Welfare and Family Affairs. Yeosu Baek Hospital is planning to provide high-quality and more specialized service by putting the shoulder center from the cervical vertebrae center for the sake of patients suffering from cervical vertebrae diseases.

Facing the era of medical tourism, Yeosu Baek Hospital is training the employees by inviting foreign language lecturers to develop into an international hospital. In the annex building that will be soon be built, it will assign wards for foreign patients only and provide customized service.
