One-stop diagnosis and treatment from stomach to anus
 

Hansol Hospital (Seokchon-dong, Seoul) is a hospital specialized in colo-proctology appointed by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and has been treating large intestine and anus related diseases such as hemorrhoids, colorectal cancer, large intestine and anus related diseases for over 20 years since opening in 1990. The hospital performed over 50,000 operation on hemorrhoids and introduced new skills to preserve normal tissues from anus and only removing hemorrhoids and to reduce pains.
President Lee Dong Geun (Chairman of the Korean Society of Coloproctology) has founded a specialized center for operating colorectal cancer and rectal cancer through celioscope in 2001 and been expanding celioscopic surgeries to rectal cancer, colorectal cancer as well as hernia, gallstones, appendicitis. Recently, the hospital recently introduced single route celioscopic surgery that only makes 1.5~2cm incisions near navel.
The hospital has established ‘One-stop System’ for performing surgery immediately if colorectal cancer is found during colonoscopy testing by cooperating with endoscopy center. Hernia center is famous for herniotomy without recurrence through extraperitoneal approach celioscopic surgery. This method fills weakened abdominal walls and hernia holes by inserting artificial membrane between peritoneum and abdominal walls using celioscope.
Hansol Hospital Endoscopic Center performing over 35,000 endoscopic tests annually examines stomach and large intestine through conscious state endoscope and removes any polypus at once. The hospital is constructing digestive system center to open in Feb 2013.
